My plumeria is blooming for the first time in 2 years and I had to capture it!

My neighbor gifted me this plant in 2020… I put in in the backyard just in case I killed it she wouldn’t see 🫣

4 years keeping it alive…now I want another. Maybe one with pink blooms 💜

I already made $15 selling a bookcase, purged an old DIY but kept the foam for another project and took 20mins to spray paint some fan blades ✅

That was when I piled all my stuff into a corner..tried them down and never put them back.

I think it was actually August or last year…not October. Just before I was supposed to go to DragonCon

Now that it’s spring…it’s time to make this space functional again on a budget!

In the Blog I’m giving you some time on saving money for a refresh like this.

You can shop what I’m planning to use in the space and maybe my cat will stop judging me.

I’m doing another @oneroomchallenge and I can’t wait to transform this space with most things I already have…in a pile somewhere

Bathroom is 95% done and I can confidently say I’ll be done by the end of March!

Started demo September 2022 and fully functional March 2024

I’m proud of what I accomplished in this bathroom, the vision I brought to life and every one of the 2000+ tiles I laid to get there.

Let’s install a faucet…twice!

I tried to be fancy and install the Delta pull down faucet.

It had a sprayer you could pull to clean your sink and better control

BUT with how tight it is in the vanity with the full sized drawers it would not only keep the drawer from closing but it was too close to the hot water line 🥲

I uninstalled it and installed a regular faucet, doing the same steps.

I can confidently say I’ve installed all the faucets in my home (both bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry) and I get faster each time

No leaks 💪🏾

Still not a plumber though so ymmv

STEP BY STEP
1) attach water lines (blue to cold, red to hot)
* Both might not be labeled but Hot usually is! *

2) tighten a quarter turn with a wrench
* if you’re not strong you may need the wrench more *

3) turn on water and check for leaks

4) flush the lines (clears out sediment)
Some will have a mixer line you can use to flush before it goes to the faucet

Otherwise take out the aerator before turning the water at the faucet to flush

5) test both hot and cold water in the faucet

As long as there’s no leaks…you’re done!!!

Honestly not even sure how my garden will look this year but these palms has been overgrown

The first two year at this house in the fall I’d trim them back a bit but since my Bathroom took over I haven’t done the trim the past two Falls.

I spend 6 hours in the backyard, used my @ryobitoolsusa pole saw to cut the palm fronds. They can get very thick!!

I also had to pick it all the palms, and honesty was only able to cut and bag up the stems for yard waste pickup

The fronds are in this dip in my yard and I’m hoping I can get some dirt delivers and just cover it up. Idk

These palms are annoying and I cut the tops off of 4 of them just to see what happens.

The worst part is…they were actually providing privacy and I can see too much back there now.
